Chicago VMUG
The Chicago VMUG chapter is a very active group with high user participation. We typically meet quarterly in both the city of Chicago and surrounding suburbs in an alternating fashion.
The following links serve as a directory of places you can participate in discussions for the Chicago VMUG, learn more about what’s going on, and be an active member in the group. VMUG Organization: Chicago VMUG
Details: Our meetings and user conferences are listed on the VMUG Organization page, which is where you sign up for the event and receive confirmation for attendance. You can also purchase a VMUG Advantage subscription, which includes all sorts of neat things: discounts on training, workstation / fusion products, VMware events, and more!
Purpose: This is the official method you should use when signing up for an event!

VMware Community Forums: “Chicago Area VMware User Group” Forum
Details: We have an official VMUG forum on the VMware communities site. You’ll need a VMware communities account in order to post to the threads, but can lurk around and read the posts as a guest. 
Purpose: Provide a VMware sanctioned forum where you can discuss VMware related topics with members of the technical community. If you have a question or comment on specific VMware products, you can also navigate to the sections that deal with those products (such as vSphere, View, vCenter, and others).

LinkedIn: “VMware Users Group in Chicago” Group
Details: This is an open group that is welcome to all who wish to participate on LinkedIn. Make sure to search specifically for “VMware Users Group in Chicago ” or use the link below.
Purpose: To network with fellow VMUG users on LinkedIn, along with holding some discussions on technology, view or post jobs relevant to a VMUG user, and post promotions that deal with virtualization technology.
