It’s hard for me to believe that I’ve been writing on this blog for over a year now. Looking back over the posts, I can see a timeline of technologies that I’ve broken, repaired, anguished, and triumphed over. I enjoy writing on here because I get to see the stats of visitors who come to my site, what search terms they used to find it (such as my personal favorite “OMG help my VM is toast”), and the articles they clicked on. The end result is a personal joy knowing that someone was helped by either something I’ve been able to share, or perhaps by my ability to point them elsewhere.
With that said, I’ve recently made the decision to move over to the consulting side of information technology as a Data Center Engineer for Ahead and will be starting in early December. I’ve known many of the people who work there for quite some time and have always respected their crazy amazing technical skills; my personal goal is to sponge off as many genius noodles as I can find. 🙂 Additionally, I look forward to helping customers reach their goals, meeting new people, and broadening my skill set on many different technologies, while continuing to specialize in my true passion: VMware virtualization and converged infrastructure.
For this blog, I’m expecting that exposure to a vast many different datacenter and customer configurations, along with their respective challenges, will only improve my writing topics and continue to challenge my ability to share solutions and product reviews with those who visit my little corner of the interwebs.
A big thank you to everyone who reads my wacky blog posts; I hope to continue to provide meaningful content as I start an exciting new role at Ahead!
