Being based out of Chicago, I wanted to take the opportunity to spotlight an event that is rolling into a number of cities across the country, including the Windy City: HP’s “Pathways to the Cloud“. The event is two days, with the first day being closed to all but HP employees and partners, but is open to the public on the second day. It reaches Chicago on March 29th.
The agenda is filled with short segments that are focused on getting to the cloud via HP products, services, and partners. HP also states that over 20 booths will be available with solutions experts (including a segment focusing on the new Proliant Gen8 Servers) and partners for you to talk with (such as VMware, Qlogic, Intel, Veeam, etc.).
For more information, head on over to the HP Pathways to the Cloud Overview page, which also includes registration links for the various cities that the show will be visiting. Having visited HP Discover 2011 in Vienna, I will share that all of the experts I talked with were quite valuable to speak with and fair about their bias, often willing to state both pros and cons to even their own solutions.
Also, this road show may help you avoid UaaS (Unicorns as a Service) in your journey to the cloud.
I have been dying to use this graphic.
