For those who are using storage array replication for your virtual machine bits and bytes: rejoice!
The recent release of vSphere 5.5 also includes all of the updated Storage Replication Adapters (SRAs), even some that were notoriously missing from the Site Recovery Manager (SRM) 5.1 product page. In fact, the SRAs now even have their own little home on the SRM 5.5 download page. This is snazzy in a way, but also means that you now have to navigate along two sets of links to download all of the files needed to acquire SRM (assuming you are using adapters).

EMC RecoverPoint Storage Replication Adapter version 2.2
Of note, version 2.2 of the EMC RecoverPoint Storage Replication Adapter is now available, which is the only one you can use with RecoverPoint 4.0. It’s certified to work with SRM 5.1 and 5.1 update 1, but was missing from the download page. It does not yet show support for SRM 5.5 even though it is only available via the SRM 5.5 download page. I imagine this will be fixed at some point.
I happened to stumble around looking for the missing adapter last week and pinged my good friend Matt Cowger, who loves all things Salt, and promised the adapter would be available online shortly. Guess he was right. 🙂

There’s a large number of other SRAs for download on the SRM 5.5 page that are certified for SRM 5.1, so if you need a more recent release of an SRA, try looking there first.
