The last course in my CCNA DC exam trilogy has finally published. This course, entitled Cisco CCNA Data Center: Unified Fabric, UCS, & Network Services, brings out the final components necessary to prepare for the two exams required for your data center certification. I know many people have been very anxious to get their 640-916 exam out of the way, so now you can go wild and ace that bad boy.
The entire set of CCNA DC courses are:
- Cisco CCNA Data Center: Intro to Data Center Networking
- focuses on the 640-911 exam
- Cisco CCNA Data Center: Nexus, Advanced Switching & SAN
- focuses on the first half of the 640-916 exam
- [new!] Cisco CCNA Data Center: Unified Fabric, UCS, & Network Services
- focuses on the second half of the 640-916 exam
This course took me way longer than I thought it would. Every time I did a module I would want to add more and more lab time for hands on exposure. All in total, half of the course includes live labs using real equipment (I snuck in some UCS emulator stuff here and there, but not for the important parts).

I blew my time limits on the UCS module and had to split it into two parts. This is because everyone said they love labs and hey – so do I! Therefore, more labs in this one than any previous. 🙂
Here’s the entire 5 hour 43 minute course outline:
- Module 1 – Unified Fabric
- Module 2 – Fiber Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) + FCoE multi-hop lab
- Module 3 – Fabric Extension (FEX) + 2K/FEX lab
- Module 4 – UCS Product Family
- Module 5 – Working with UCS + UCS initial setup lab AND a UCS config lab
- Module 6 – Data Center Virtualization
- Module 7 – Nexus 1000v Switch + 1000v setup lab AND a 1000v config lab
- Module 8 – Data Center Network Services
Enjoy! 😉
