Being relatively nearby to Indianapolis, I never miss the chance to drive down for the annual Indy VMware User Group (VMUG) User Conference. The event is enormous, packed with a heaping scoop of vendors and manufacturers discussing their products and solutions, VMware employees evangelizing what’s new and hip in the virtualization world, and – new this year – a community track provided by the vBrownBag crew with 15 minute Tech Talks.
Much like last year, I spent time learning from partner and VMware sessions, getting to know folks in the community, and recording another round of Wahl Network Tech Chats. Back in 2013, I managed to snag a well rounded group of presenters to talk about their content that was delivered at the conference. If you want to hear from David Davis, Scott Lowe, Nick Weaver, and more, visit the 2013 playlist here.
Advancing Your Career Series
This year, the theme is Advancing Your Career. I’ve set up brief interviews with a number of individuals who have been quite visible and successful in their field. Each person has offered tidbits of advice around social media, books, certifications, blogging, and their strategy for engaging with the community.
